Why Contribute?
Destinationes guides over 400 Catholic pilgrimage destinations worldwide. Great photographs bring these sacred places to life for the thousands of pilgrims who use our guides to plan their journeys. In return, every contributor receives:
- Permanent credit — your name displayed on every guide using your photo
- Portfolio link — a dofollow link to your website or portfolio, visible to all visitors
- Global audience — your work seen by pilgrims from around the world
What We Need
We are looking for photographs of Catholic pilgrimage sites: shrines, basilicas, chapels, outdoor sanctuaries, pilgrim routes, and the landscapes that surround them. We especially need images of lesser-known destinations where good photography is scarce.
Photo Guidelines
- High resolution (minimum 1600px on the longest side)
- Landscape orientation preferred for cover images
- Exterior and interior views of churches, shrines, and sacred sites
- Natural lighting preferred; no heavy filters or HDR processing
- No visible people as primary subjects (pilgrims in the background are fine)
How It Works
- Send your photos to info@destinationes.com with the name and location of the site
- Include your credit line — how you want to be named, and the URL you want linked
- We review and publish — typically within a few days
- Your attribution appears on the guide page with a link to your site
License
By submitting photos, you grant Destinationes a non-exclusive, perpetual license to use them on the site with attribution. You retain full copyright and can use your photos anywhere else. We will always credit you by name and link to your website.
